1.0 ml plasma each draw
Instructions
Draw blood in a PST tube from a fasting patient (12-14 hours). Spin down and send 1.0 ml of plasma refrigerated. Give patient 75 mg of "glucola" to drink (100mg if pregnant). Redraw patient at 30min., 1hr., 2hr., 3hr. and 4hr. respectively in PST tubes. Spin tubes after each draw and send 1.0 ml of plasma from each tube. Be sure to mark tubes with draw times.
