Instructions
Submit one of the following specimens:  Nasopharyngeal Swab -1. Collect specimen using a sterile swab by inserting swab into posterior nasopharynx through nostril. 2. Rotate swab slowly in nasopharynx for 5 seconds. 3. Place swab in transport device. Nasal Swab- 1. Collect specimen using a sterile swab by inserting into the anterior nare approximately 1 cmm. 2. Rotate swab against the interior nasal cavity for 5 seconds. 3. Withdraw the swab and repeat the process in the other nostril. 4. Place the swab in the transport device. Specimen source is required on request form for processing.
