Instructions
If acid has not been added before the collection, the well mixed sample may be acidified following the procedure for random urine calcium.
To a 3 mL aliquot of well mixed urine, add 2-3 drops of 6N HCl. Mix well and verify pH is < 3. The amount of HCl added should be proportional to the volume of aliquot so as not to dilute the sample.
