Cryptococcal Antigen on Serum

Outreach/Outpatients: 1 gold top or 1 red top tube
Inpatients: 1 gold top or 1 red top tube
Transport to SRHC lab as soon as possible.
Laboratory Use Only:
This test is orderable in Sunquest using testcode CCA and is for serum samples only. It must then be manually ordered by the laboratory in Quest CARE360 using the following information:
Quest testcode: 11196
Specimen type: 2 mL Serum /Min 0.5 - label tube as serum and document sample type in CARE360
Result CCA in Sunquest with the English tectcodes RTF-SEE (Results to follow from reference lab. See manual report.)
Append requisition number and send out date to above.
