Patient Preparation
Patient should refrain from taking mineral supplements and multivitamins three days before specimen collection.

Instructions
To avoid contamination, use powderless gloves. Draw one (royal-blue top) tube of blood and discard. Draw second (royal blue-top) tube, label tube with patient name.
