Instructions
Staphylococcus, beta-streptococcus and streptococcus pneumoniae resistant to erythromycin and susceptible to clindamycin. Stability of isolates will be determined by the laboratory. Organism must be viable.

Clinical Significance
Some isolates of Staphylococcus species Streptococcus Pneumoniae and beta-hemolytic Streptococci have been shown to have inducible resistance to clindamycin. Treatment of a patient with clindamycin for an organism that has inducible clindamycin resistance (D Test positive) may result in treatment failure.
