Preferred specimen: Serum from Red Top Tube ONLY Special instructions: Serum should be collected and then frozen immediately.

Transport Temperature

Specimen: Serum Volume: 5 mL Minimum Volume: 1 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.) Specimen Container: Serum from Red Top Tube Specimen Collection: The only acceptable sample type is serum collected in a red top tube. Transfer specimen to a plastic transport tube before freezing. Store and ship frozen immediately. Transport Temperature: Frozen Turn-around-time (From date of pickup of specimen by Labcorp): 10 days Cause for Rejection: Plasma or serum collected using a gel-barrier tube
