Preferred specimen: Urine (random or 24-hour) Special instructions: Test Includes: Arsenic (total), urine, with reflex to Arsenic, Toxic species if total arsenic is >=10 ug/L; creatinine, urine; lead, urine; mercury, urine; all ratios; all 24-hour excretions


Transport Temperature
Specimen: Urine (random or 24-hour) Volume: 15 mL Minimum Volume: 5.3 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.) Specimen Container: Plastic urine container, no preservative Specimen Collection: Request form MUST state 24-hour specimen volume, if applicable. Sampling time is not critical for industrial monitoring. Optional protocol: Instruct the patient to void at 8 AM and discard the specimen. Then collect all urine including the final specimen voided at the end of the 24-hour collection period (ie, 8 AM the next morning). Avoid contact with metal during collection. Screw the lid on securely. Transport Temperature: Room temperature Stability: Room Temp: 14 days Refrigerate: 14 days Frozen: 14 days Freeze/Thaw Cycles: Stable x3 Turn-around-time (From date of pickup of specimen by Labcorp): 3-6 days
