Instructions

The cellulose tape slide preparation is the most commonly used procedure. CLEAR cellulose tape is best for this purpose. A piece of cellulose tape is wrapped around a glass slide, sticky side out, and applied to the perianal area. Any eggs present will stick to the tape and can be observed under a microscope. Alternately, a Pinworm Paddle kit can be used for collection.
