Instructions
NP cultures should be obtained with a Dacron, cotton or calcium alginate swab or flexible wire that is gently passed through the nose into the nasopharynx, rotated and removed.
Transport Temperature
The swab should be placed in a sterile tube and transported to the laboratory as soon as possible after collection.
