Instructions
Throat: Culture of the affected area should be taken using a blue top swab or an eSwab. Sinus: All specimens must be collected in a sterile container, blue top ESwab, nasopharyngeal swab with wire shaft, or culture swab. Nasal: Culture of the desired site should be taken using a culture swab or an eSwab.


Transport Temperature
The swab should be transported to the laboratory as soon as possible after collection.
