Transport Temperature

Lab Only: It is recommended that tubes of blood are to be kept closed at all times and in a vertical position. It is required that the serum or plasma be physically separated from contact with cells within two hours from the time of collection. Analyze fresh specimens, if possible. Separated samples may be stored for up to 2 days at 20 to 25°C,at 2 to 8°C for up to 7days and frozen at -20°C for up to 1 month. Stored specimens must be inspected for particulates. If present, mix and centrifuge the specimen to remove.
