Transport Temperature
Lab Only: It is recommended that tubes of blood are to be kept closed at all times and in a vertical position. It is required that the serum or plasma be physically separated from contact with cells within two hours from the time of collection. Separated specimens are stable for 2 days at 20 to 25°C, 7 days at 2 to 8°C, or 3 months at -20°Cor colder. Stored specimens must be inspected for particulates. If present, mix and centrifuge the specimen to remove particulates prior to testing.
