Preferred specimen: Whole blood collected in Lavender top EDTA tube Special instructions: Test can only be collected Monday - Friday. Testing referred to Eurofins Viracor LLC EURKS#8016

Transport Temperature

Specimen: Whole blood Volume: 2 mL Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL (Note:This volume does NOT allow for repeat testing). Specimen Container: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube Specimen Collection: Specimen must be received at Viracor Eurofins within 96 hours of collection. Send original tube. Transport Temperature: Refrigerated Stability: Room Temp: 4 days Refrigerate: 4 days Frozen: -80 degrees=28 days Freeze/Thaw Cycles: Stable x3 Turn-around-time (From date of pickup of specimen by Labcorp): 3-7 days Cause for Rejection: Specimens beyond their acceptable length of time from collection as listed in the specimen collection; specimens received in trap containers; specimen types other than those listed; specimen not received in original tube.
