Instructions
Preferred specimen: 3 mL serum collected in serum separator tube (min: 1mL serum) Acceptable specimen(s): Serum in plain red top tube or plasma in lavender EDTA tube


Transport Temperature
Specimen: Serum (preferred) or plasma Volume: 3 mL Minimum Volume: 1 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.) Specimen Container: Red-top tube, gel-barrier tube, or plasma EDTA tube Specimen Collection: Allow a minimum clotting time of 30 to 60 minutes with serum separation within 2 hours of collection. Send serum in a plastic transport tube. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested. Transport Temperature: Frozen (preferred) or refrigerated Stability: Room Temp: 14 days Refrigerate: 14 days Frozen: 14 days Freeze/Thaw Cycles: Stable x6 Turn-around-time (From date of pickup of specimen by Labcorp): 11-25 days
