A completed Informed Consent and Prenatal Chromosome SNP Microarray Questionnaire should accompany specimens. Call 800-345-4363 to request the Informed Consent and Questionnaire form. Additional charge may be added if cultures are necessary on amniotic fluid. Sterile plastic conical tube; T-25 flask OR CVS in sterile container containing sterile Ringer’s lactate OR Hank’s balanced salt solution OR transport media provided by the cytogenetic laboratory (Do NOT use urine containers for shipping). Discard first 2 mL of fluid aspirated to avoid maternal cell contamination. Specimen is collected in a 20 mL sterile syringe and transferred aseptically to sterile tubes to be transported to LabCorp.
