Instructions
Adults: 5 mL gel-barrier tube *Minimum: 3 mL gel-barrier tube*


Transport Temperature
Specimen: Serum or plasma Volume: 3 mL Minimum Volume: 1 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.) Container: Gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, or plasma preparation tube (PPTâ„¢) Collection: Centrifuge sample within 24 hours of collection. Transfer serum/plasma to a screw-cap polypropylene transport tube. Ship frozen (preferred). Plasma from a PPTâ„¢ can be frozen and shipped in situ. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit a separate frozen specimen for each test requested. Storage Instructions: Freeze (preferred) or refrigerate. Stable at room temperature for 24 hours or refrigerated for 72 hours. Stable frozen for six weeks.
