Special Instructions If transit time will exceed 48 hours, specimen should be frozen. Specimen Serum Volume 1 mL Minimum Volume 0.5 mL Container Gel-barrier tube or transport tube Collection To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested. Storage Instructions: Store sample at 2°C to 8°C if testing will be performed within 24 to 48 hours. Specimens held longer should be frozen at -20°C to -70°C. Causes for Rejection: Gross hemolysis; quantity not sufficient for analysis
