Instructions
Adults: collect 4 mL blood into chilled lavender-top (EDTA) tube. Plasma must be separated within 15 minutes. *Pediatric minimum: 2 chilled lavender microtainers*


Transport Temperature
Specimen Plasma, frozen; plasma with aprotinin (Trasylol®), (Trasylol® acceptable, not required) Volume 1 mL Minimum Volume 0.5 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.) Container Lavender-top (EDTA) tube Collection Collect into chilled or prefrozen plastic lavender-top (EDTA) tube, noting the time of collection. After venipuncture, immediately invert tube several times to ensure complete mixture. Separate plasma from cells by centrifugation. Separate plasma into a plastic vial, and freeze within 15 minutes of collection. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple test on frozen sample, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested. Storage Instructions Freeze
