Instructions
Preferred specimen: 1 mL whole blood collected in lavender top tube (EDTA) (min: 0.5 mL) Special instructions: Blood samples should be collected before breakfast in the morning and prior to any medication.


Transport Temperature
Specimen: Whole blood, frozen Volume: 1 mL Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL Specimen Container: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube Specimen Collection: Draw blood. Do not separate. Transfer to a plastic transport tube. Freeze. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
