Instructions
Centrifuge tube as soon as possible and separate plasma from cells. Discard the plasma. Using the original collection tube, submit only the RBCs to the laboratory.

Specimen: Red blood cells (RBCs) Volume: 1 mL Minimum Volume: 0.2 mL Container: Green-top (heparin) tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, royal blue-top (EDTA) tube, or tan-top lead-free tube Collection: Centrifuge tube within 45 minutes of collection and separate plasma from cells. Discard the plasma. Using the original collection tube, submit only the RBCs to the laboratory. Storage Instructions: Refrigerate
