Instructions
Adult: Minimum 2.5 mL blood *Pediatric minimum: 1 full microtainer.


Transport Temperature
Lab Only: It is recommended that tubes of blood are to be kept closed at all times and in a vertical position. It is required that the serum or plasma be physically separated from contact with cells within two hours from the time of collection. Allow specimens to reach room temperature prior to analysis. Separated samples may be stored for up to 7 days at 20 to 25°C, at 2 to 8°C for up to 7 days, or at -20°C for up to 2 months. Stored specimens must be inspected for particulates. If present, mix and centrifuge the specimen to remove particulates prior to testing. If particles are present, remove serum/plasma from cells into an appropriately labeled aliquot tube and recentrifuge.
