Instructions

Patients with known antibody problem need 2 full tubes. Adult: 4 mL in EDTA tube (Lavender or Pink) *Pediatric minimum: 4 months to <3 years: 2 mL in EDTA tube (Lavender or Pink) >3 years: 4 mL in EDTA tube (Lavender or Pink)* The following patient populations must use a Blood Bank bracelet for collection: • Anonymous or unknown identification • Department of Corrections prisoners (Midlands) • ContinueCare (Midlands) • Comfort Care (Midlands) • Outpatient Infusion • Encompass Health (Midlands)

Transport Temperature

Refrigerate sample if greater than 4 hours transport time. Sample expires at midnight on 3rd full day from collection date, which is day 0. No serum separator tubes; No gel tubes.
