Instructions

Contact the Hematology Department @ GMH (57185) or RHR lab (803) 434-2222 for a special collection Greiner blue top tube and instructions. DO NOT use pneumatic tube for transport. MUST be hand delivered to lab. Minimize time tourniquet is applied. Gently invert x5 after collection. Do NOT shake or mix vigorously. Collect 2 tubes.

Transport Temperature

Test must be completed within 4 hours of collection. Transport to performing laboratory ASAP after collection. Do NOT expose to ice; do NOT use pneumatic tube.
