Instructions
Specimen Collection A. Swab specimens: (CT/GC/TV testing on ALL specimens) MUST be Vaginal collection (cervix, endo cervix no longer accepted) a. BD Molecular Swab Collection Kit B. Urine specimens: (CT/GC/TV testing on ALL specimens) a. Collect the first void urine in a sterile, plastic, preservative-free specimen collection cup and transfer immediately to a BD Molecular Urine Sample Buffer Tube. C. ThinPrep Liquid Based Cytology (CT/GC testing only)


Transport Temperature
BD Molecular Swab Sample Buffer Tube Swab specimens must be transferred immediately after collection. Stored for a total of 21 days at 2-30 °C BD Molecular Urine Sample Buffer Tube First void urine specimens must be transferred immediately after collection. Stored for a total of 21 days at 2-30 °C ThinPrep LBC Specimen a. Prior to transfer to the BD Molecular LBC Sample Buffer Tube can be stored up to 14 days at 2-30 °C.
