Instructions

Blood tubes must be filled to the stated volume. Over- or under-filled tubes will be rejected. Deliver to lab immediately, do NOT expose tubes to ice or cold. Adult: 2.7 mL exactly in Lt blue tube *Pediatric: 1.8 mL exactly in pediatric coag tube*

Transport Temperature

Specimen Stability: Unspun at room temperature for 4 hours after collection; plasma removed from the cells stable for 8 hours at 15-20°C or 1 month at -20°C. All blue tubes must be filled with 2.7 mL of blood to maintain the proper blood to anticoagulant ratio.
