Minimum Volume
1 mL serum at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

1 mL serum at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 6 weeks; Refrigerated: 6 weeks; Frozen: 1 year


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Hemolyzed specimens.  Specimens collected in separator tubes, gels, lavender (EDTA), or gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate).
