Preferred Specimen
One 4 mL serum separator tube.


Minimum Volume
1 mL serum, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)  Protect from light.  Submit specimen in original tube.


Transport Temperature
1 mL serum, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)  Protect from light.  Submit specimen in original tube.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 2 days; Frozen: 3 months


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Hemolyzed specimens.
