Preferred Specimen
Collect either one green top microtainer with gel (PST) or one yellow top microtainer with gel (SST) completely filled. Gently invert tube 5 times immediately after collection and protect from light.


Minimum Volume
0.8 mL serum or plasma at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.2 mL)  Submit specimen in an PMC Amber Transport Tube.


Transport Temperature
0.8 mL serum or plasma at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.2 mL)  Submit specimen in an PMC Amber Transport Tube.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week;  Frozen: 6 months (if protected from light).
