Lt. blue (sodium citrate).  Fill completely.  Mix tubes thoroughly after collection.

Frozen.


Instructions
Separate plasma from cells ASAP. Transfer 1 mL platelet-poor plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.


Transport Temperature
Frozen.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 1 month


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Serum. Non-frozen, clotted, or hemolyzed specimens.
