Minimum Volume
Transport to lab within 30 minutes  or freeze plasma and transport frozen.


Instructions
Mix thoroughly.  If there is more than a 30 minute transport time transfer 1 mL platelet-poor plasma to a Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Transport to lab within 30 minutes  or freeze plasma and transport frozen.


Specimen Stability
Separated plasma: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 1 week


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Serum, clotted, or hemolyzed specimens.  Tube not completely full.
