Instructions
Use Pinworm Collection Device or scotchtape prep to sample perianal area prior to or just after patient wakes. Sticky collection device or scotchtape will capture adult worms and/or eggs deposited by adult worms just outside the anus. Adults emerge from the anus to lay eggs during prolonged periods of inactivity (sleep) by the patient.
Transport Container
Pinworm Paddle Collection Device (self-contained; available from PAH lab); properly labeled scotchtape prep on microscope slide submitted in screw cap container.

Ambient.

=48 hours.

Light microscopy.
