Neonates and Children 1 to 6 years: 1-3 mL of blood in a BACTEC™ Peds Plus/F bottle
Children weighing 30-80 lbs: 3 mL of blood in BD BACTEC™ Peds Plus/F bottle or 8-10 mL of blood in BD BACTEC™ Plus Aerobic/F and Lytic/10 Anaerobic/F bottles
