Clinical Significance
This test is used to determine the susceptibility of a pure culture yeast isolate to the most common antifungal drugs. Results are useful in selecting optimal therapy. Organisms tested are: Candida spp., Cryptococcus spp., Blastoschizomyces sp., Hansenula spp., Rhodotorula spp., Saccharomyces spp., Trichosporon spp.
