Limitations
A negative screen indicates that the patient is negative for dsDNA, SSA, SSB, Sm, RNP, Scl-70, Jo-1, Ribo-P, Chromatin and Centromere antibodies, but does not test for all antibodies to Nucleolar pattern for scleroderma diseases. If clinically indicated, additional testing may be required. A negative ANAchoice(TM) Cascade should be interpreted in the context of the clinical and laboratory findings, and does not rule out autoimmune disease characterized by other autoantibody specificities including autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cirrhosis.
