Instructions
Obtain fresh urine specimen. A first-morning specimen is preferred but random collections are acceptable. Specimen should be at room temperature for less than one hour before testing.


Transport Container
Clean, dry, covered container with patient's label that includes name, id number and date of birth.

Room Temperature


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Do not accept specimens that have remained room temperature for longer than one hour. Specimen with urine preservatives.

Limitations
Substances that cause abnormal urine color may affect the readability of test pads on urinalysisreagent strips. These substances include: Drugs containing azo dyes ( Pyridium, Azo Gantrisin, Azo Gantanol), Nitrofurantoin (Macrodantin, Furadantin), Riboflavin, and visible levels of blood or bilirubin. PLEASE REFER TO PACKAGE INSERT FOR LIMITATION ON EACH ANALYTE TESTED.

Negative or Trace for analytes/pH 5-8.0
