Limitations
"A. Dilute urine specimens may give a false negative result. If pregnancy is
suspected, retest in 48-72 hours.
B. Do NOT use beyond the expiration date.
C. The assay is only capable of detecting intact hCG and cannot detect the presence
of free sub-units.
D. Interfering substances may falsely depress or falsely elevate results at all
detectable concentrations and may indicate the presence of hCG when
there is none. These interferences may be from medication or endogenous
substances.
E. Patients who have received Mouse Monoclonal Antibodies for therapy or
diagnosis should not be tested with this product.
F. Ectopic pregnancy cannot be distinguished from normal pregnancy by hCG test
alone.
G. It is recommended that specimens with weak results be recollected and retested in
48 hours.
H. Some antipsychotic agents/drugs are known to cause false positive results in
pregnancy tests.A. Some elements may be missed if the condenser and amount of light are not lowered.
B. Crystals are usually identified by morphology. Unusual forms should be identified by physical and chemical properties or sent to a pathologist for confirmation."

The OSOM® hCG Combo Test is a rapid immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine as an aid in the early determination of pregnancy.
