Limitations
The following compounds when determined to be excess of their limitation, may produce elevated glucose results: Galactose >10mg/dL can give falsely elevated results. Maltose > 16 mg/dL delivered intravenously can give falsely elevated test results. Bilirubin (unconjugated) >20 mg/dL Lipemic Samples >5000 mg/dL Acetaminophen >8 mg/dL Uric acid : Hypogylcemic range > 10 mg/dL Euglycemic range > 12 mg/dL Hyperglycemic range > 16 mg/dL.

10-600 mg/d


Clinical Significance
These systems are designed to quantitatively measure the concentration of glucose in whole blood.
