Instructions
Sample should be centrifuged within 6 hours of collection and the plasma/serum should be separated from the red blood cells and transfer to a polypropylene screw-capped tube and freeze. Specimens drawn into PPT(TM) need to be centrifuged within 6 hours and frozen. Ship frozen. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.


Transport Container
Red-top tube, gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, OR PPT(TM). DO NOT use green-top tube OR yellow-top (ACD) tube.

Freeze Stability: Room temperature up to 3 days Refrigerated up to 7 days Frozen up to 6 weeks

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
