Patient Preparation
For fasting test, patient should fast overnight before blood collection.

Instructions
4 mL blood, drawn 2 hour post oral ingestion of d-Xylose. Label sample vial with patient's name and the time of collection post-dose (e.g., 2 hour, etc.).
Note: This test cannot be performed at a Patient Service Center because of the preparation step required for the d-Xylose solution.
