Clinical Significance
CD123 is highly expressed in normal plasmacytoid dendritic cells and in the plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (also known as hematodermic tumor). Among lymphoproliferative disorders, CD123 expression is largely limited to hairy cell leukemia.
