Instructions
2 mL whole blood and 2 mL serum (specimens must be shipped together). Shipment within 7 days of collection and storage at or below room temperature is recommended. 


Transport Container
No additive (red-top) or SST AND EDTA (lavender-top)


Transport Temperature
Refrigerate


Specimen Stability
Room temperature: 7 days
Refrigerated: 7 days
Frozen: Unacceptable 


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Improper sample type • Improper sample conditions • Improper labeling (specimens must be labeled with patient's name and date of collection; unlabeled specimens will not be accepted for testing.)
