Instructions
Specimens on non heparanized patients can be uncentrifuged or centrifuged with plasma remaining on top of cells in an unopened tube at either room temperature or refrigerated for up to 4 hours. Specimen on heparanized patients need to be kept at room temperature or refrigerated and centrifuged within one hour after collection. Testing needs to be done within 4 hours after collection. Plasma may be frozen for up to 2 weeks. Specimen will be rejected if not full.
