Skin Scrapings or Nail Clippings, Hair Follicles Specimen Inoculated directly on DTM


Instructions
Cleanse site with 70% Alcohol. Gently scrape the leading edge of a skin lesion and transfer to DTM Media. Collect scrapings from underneath nail and inoculate directly onto DTM. Do not submit entire nail or large clippings. Hair follicles which fluoresce under a woods lamp should be selected.
