2 mL (0.5 minimum) for Sputum or TTA; 10 mL (5.0 mL minimum) for BW or BAL


Instructions
Includes Gram Stain, aerobic culture, identification and susceptibility (if indicated). BAL specimens include a semiquantitation and limited anaerobic workup. MIC's will be reported on potential aerobic pathogens present in quantities >103. Usual upper respiratory flora will be reported as "Normal Flora"
