Fresh random stool 5 mL. Minimum. Transport in plastic stool container or culturette for rectal swab.


Instructions
Should be considered in patients with history of bloody stools. Will be ordered by laboratory on all grossly bloody stools. Follow special instructions for stool cultures (CXSTO).

Transport Media (Enteric Plus) available and preferred.
