Instructions
Includes aerobic culture and identification Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter and susceptibility testing available when indicated. Screening for Enterohemorrhagic E. coli is available, but must be requested by ordering CXEC. Screening for Yersinia is available but must be requested by ordering CXYER. Unacceptable specimens: diapers, specimen contaminated with urine or water, specimen containing interfering substances such as castor oil, bismuth, barium, etc. Keep at room temperature and deliver to laboratory within 4 hours. If delay is anticipated, use transport media.
