ADULTS: 8-10 ml of whole blood in each BACTEC Plus Aerobic/F (blue cap) and BACTEC Lytic/10 Anaerobic/F (purple cap) collection bottles. NEONATES AND CHILDREN: BACTEC Peds Plus/F collection bottle.
