Collect 1 gold SST and 1 Gray top (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride) tube. 2. Centrifuge the Gold SST tube and transfer the serum into an amber vial within 2 hours of collection. 3. Label the specimen as "Serum. "4. Centrifuge the Grey top tube and transfer the plasma into a clear plastic vial. 5. Label the specimen as "Plasma.
