Instructions
Processing Instructions (Lab use only): Centrifuge and separate cells after clot formation and within 4 hours of collection. Remove serum if testing will be delayed more than 24 hours. Minimum Testing Volume: 1.3 mL Serum Transport Temperature: Refrigerated Stability: Ambient: N/A Refrigerated (ON GEL): 24 hoursRefrigerated (OFF GEL): 7 daysFrozen: > 6 days Causes for Rejection: Samples stored on gel >24 hours, unlabeled, mislabeled, wrong tube type, severely hemolyzed samples (hemolysis index >500), grossly lipemic samples (trig >3000mg/dl) and grossly icteric (bilirubin >20mg/dl), QNS, exceeds specimen stability requirements.
